I accompany Steffi's "Contact & Release" workshop with live music. In my improvisations with vocals and various electronic and non-electronic instruments, I employ a playful approach, seeking the unpredictable. It's important to me to use situations within the workshop as opportunities for shifts in mood through the music, rather than simply dictating tempo or energy, but allowing myself to be inspired by the participants. This creates an organically flowing interplay between movement and music.

 

At the jam session on Saturday, I'll make my materials available so that others can also contribute musically. And I'm sure I'll find a few more moments for musical interludes at the performance evening on Sunday.
