ABOUT US

For many years I've had this dream: a festival that unites everything I love about movement and spirit. In 2023, I organized the first Movement Flow Fest on the eastern slope of Darmstadt, in memory of a dear friend. From the moment I decided to plan the festival, everything began to flow. The turnout was greater than I had ever expected, and the response was overwhelming. So many people asked if there would be a sequel. I had actually planned to leave it at that one festival. But the enthusiasm of the participants and their numerous requests for another festival convinced me that it simply had to continue.

 

What touched me most was the incredible support I received from so many people. Without these helping hands, a second festival would have been impossible. This support gave me the energy and motivation to persevere and even think bigger.

 

We're now at the fourth Movement Flow Fest! We're experiencing three days of a colorful, vibrant festival full of movement, connection, and inspiration. A place where we can dance, laugh, learn, and celebrate the diversity of movement together.

 

The team consists of people who share a passion for movement and community. Some have been with me since the very first festival, while others are new additions. This means the festival is not only growing in terms of participants, but also behind the scenes. We meet regularly and work on a shared vision for the event. All tasks are distributed according to available capacity, skills, and ideas. A lot needs to be organized and planned, from program planning and communication within the ever-expanding network of teachers, to securing a venue and date, designing the website and social media presence, financial planning, ticketing, and much more. And then there are the volunteers on-site who help with setup and takedown, and during the festival, I ensure that someone is available to answer any questions.
